Accessibility Statement
Octoque should work for everyone who makes things, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, zoom or reduced motion. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the website and the app.
What we do
- Contrast. Every text and background colour pair in every theme is checked automatically against WCAG AA contrast before each release.
- Keyboard. Links, buttons and form fields are real HTML controls, so they work with a keyboard, and whatever has focus shows a clear outline.
- Screen readers. Pages use real headings, lists, tables and labelled form fields; icons that carry meaning have text labels, and images have descriptions.
- Motion. If your device asks for reduced motion, animations stop, including the animated logo.
- Small screens and zoom. Pages reflow to a single column on phones, and tables turn into labelled cards instead of scrolling sideways.
- Plain language. We write short sentences, name buttons for what they do, and quote error messages word for word in the Help Centre.
- Works without scripts. The website’s text is in the page itself, so it reads even before scripts load.
Known gaps
- Product screenshots on the website are images. Each has a written description, but the description is shorter than the screen it shows.
- The best-time heatmaps use colour, so every cell also shows its number and the same facts are listed in text below the chart.
- Connecting an account opens each platform’s own sign-in page (for example Google, Meta or TikTok). Those pages are run by the platforms, not by us.
- We haven’t had an independent accessibility audit yet. We will publish the result here when we do.
Tell us what gets in your way
If anything on Octoque is hard to use, or you need information in another format, email hello@octoque.com with “Accessibility” in the subject. Tell us the page and what happened. A person replies within 5 business days and tells you what we’ll do about it. If a fix takes longer, we’ll help you get the task done another way in the meantime.
How we test
Before every release, automated tests check every page on desktop and phone sizes for colour contrast, page structure, and text that is cut off or overlapping. Testing by hand with screen readers is part of the independent audit we plan.
