Octoque auto-publishes text posts, up to 20 photos, videos up to 10 minutes, PDF posts (swipeable documents) and polls to LinkedIn, on your personal profile or a company page where you’re an admin.
You can mention people and companies, add a first comment, turn the link preview off, and edit the text after it’s live. LinkedIn’s API allows its other carousel format for ads only.[1]

What Octoque itself allows on LinkedIn today:
- Captions up to 3,000 characters, with a live counter under the caption.
- Videos up to 10:00. Longer ones can be trimmed for LinkedIn alone (keep the start or the end), while other platforms get the full video.
- One video, up to 20 photos, or one PDF (up to 100 MB). Files: MP4, MOV, JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 1 GB.
How Octoque handles LinkedIn
When you connect LinkedIn, Octoque asks where to post: your own profile or a company page you manage. Add the other one later the same way.
LinkedIn starts in the morning: 9 am in your audience’s time zone, when people open it at work. Your other platforms keep their own hours.
Add a PDF and LinkedIn shows it as a document people swipe through. Octoque checks it first: a PDF with a password can’t be shown, so you’re told before it posts.
LinkedIn allows 3,000 characters. Write the longer version in the LinkedIn tab; X, Threads and the rest keep the main caption. Fix a typo after it’s live from the post in Octoque.
When it posts: 9 am, then your own hour
Pick “Each platform at its golden hour” and LinkedIn goes out at 9 am where your audience lives, not where you are. It’s a starting point that adapts: once your posts have results, your own best hours take over.
How to connect LinkedIn
- In Octoque, open Connected accounts and tap Connect next to LinkedIn.
- Sign in on LinkedIn’s own page and approve. Octoque never sees your password.
- Choose where to post: your profile, or a company page you manage.

What you can’t do on LinkedIn, and why
Some limits are LinkedIn’s, set in its official API; a few are Octoque’s own for now. Here they are, so nothing surprises you after you’ve scheduled.
- Post to a company page you don’t manage. LinkedIn only lets apps post for a page when you hold an Administrator, Content admin or Direct sponsored content poster role there.[1]
- Post the sponsored carousel format. LinkedIn’s Posts API supports it for sponsored posts only.[1]
- Mention people from a personal profile that manages no page. LinkedIn allows people mentions only from accounts that manage a LinkedIn page. Companies can always be mentioned.
- Mix a PDF with other files, or a poll with media. A PDF post takes the PDF on its own, and a poll has no photos or video.

Can I post to my personal profile and my company page?
Yes. Connect each one; they show as separate accounts you can pick in any post.
Why 9 am for LinkedIn when most platforms are later?
People read LinkedIn during the working day. 9 am is Octoque’s starting point, in your audience’s time zone, and it moves as your own results come in.
Can I post a PDF carousel?
Yes. Add a PDF (up to 100 MB) and give it a document title. LinkedIn shows it as a swipeable document. Other platforms can’t take a PDF, so it goes to LinkedIn only.
Can I schedule a LinkedIn poll?
Yes. Add a question, 2 to 4 choices, and pick 1, 3, 7 or 14 days.
How long can a LinkedIn video be in Octoque?
Up to 10 minutes. Longer videos can be trimmed for LinkedIn alone, keeping the start or the end.
