Cookie Notice
Octoque uses very little: one cookie to keep you signed in, a few remembered choices, and optional product analytics. No advertising cookies, no tracking across other sites, and nothing sold to anyone.
What we store on your device
| Name | Type | Why | Category | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
pc_session | Cookie (secure, HTTP-only) | Keeps you signed in | Essential | 30 days, or until you sign out |
oq_google_state | Cookie (secure, HTTP-only) | Only while you continue with Google: ties Google’s answer to this browser, so nobody else can finish your sign-in | Essential | 10 minutes, or as soon as you’re back |
pc_consent | Device storage | Remembers your analytics choice | Essential | Until you change it or clear your browser |
pc_lang | Device storage | Remembers your language | Preference | Until you change it or clear your browser |
pc_theme | Device storage | Remembers the app theme you chose (light, dark or automatic) | Preference | Until you change it or clear your browser |
pc_ws | Device storage | Remembers which workspace you were in | Preference | Until you sign out or clear your browser |
pc_anon | Device storage | A random ID so product analytics can count visits without knowing who you are | Analytics (optional) | Until you withdraw consent or clear your browser |
Essential and preference items are needed for things you ask for, so they don’t need consent. They are set by Octoque itself and never shared.
Product analytics
With analytics on, your browser sends us the names of actions you take (for example “post scheduled”) with the random ID above, to PostHog in the EU (Frankfurt), which works for us. Analytics never include your captions, files, email or links, and we use them only to improve Octoque.
- EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: analytics stay off until you tap Allow on the banner.
- Everywhere else: analytics are on unless you switch them off, and they switch off automatically if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
You can change your choice at any time: under You → Privacy & data if you have an account, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser (you’ll be asked again).
When you pay
Checkout is run by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, which may use cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention under its own privacy policy.
