Post a PDF, a poll or a mention on LinkedIn

LinkedIn document posts (swipeable PDFs), polls, mentions of people and companies, and turning the link preview off.

Steps

  1. PDF: add a PDF in New post (up to 100 MB). Give it a document title in the LinkedIn card; the first page is the cover.
  2. Poll: in the LinkedIn card tap Add a poll: a question, 2 to 4 choices of 30 characters, and 1, 3, 7 or 14 days.
  3. Mention: tap Mention someone, paste their LinkedIn link and their name exactly as on LinkedIn. The mention is added to the LinkedIn caption.
  4. No link preview: turn on Hide the link preview for a text post with a link.

Troubleshooting

  • Only LinkedIn takes a PDF. Leave X out.

    A PDF post goes to LinkedIn only. Leave the other platforms out, or make a separate post for them.

  • LinkedIn only lets accounts that manage a LinkedIn page mention people. Companies can always be mentioned.

    Mention the company instead, or post from an account that manages a LinkedIn page.

  • That PDF has a password. LinkedIn can't show it: save it without one and upload again.

    Export the PDF again without a password.
