In short
- You own what you make, including anything AI helps you write.
- Nobody trains AI on your content. Not us, and not the AI providers we use.
- You decide what’s posted. AI suggests; nothing goes out unless you choose it.
What AI does in Octoque
AI features (such as caption ideas, hashtag suggestions and rewrites for each platform) use your instructions and the content you choose to share with them. They are optional, use the AI credits included in your plan, and are marked in the app wherever they appear. Golden-hour times come from your results and posting patterns, not from a generative AI model.
Your content and the output
- As between you and us, you own the input you give and the output you get, to the extent the law allows. We claim no rights in them beyond the limited licence in the Terms to run Octoque for you.
- AI output may not be unique: other people may get similar suggestions.
No training on your content
We don’t use your content, prompts or AI output to train or improve AI models, and our AI providers are contractually barred from doing so. Providers keep inputs only as long as needed to answer the request and to prevent abuse, under their enterprise terms.
Check before you post
AI can be wrong, out of date or unsuitable. Review every suggestion before you publish it, and don’t rely on it for legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. You’re responsible for what you publish, as with anything else you post.
Labelling AI content
If you publish images, audio or video made or changed with AI so that it looks real, label it as AI-generated where the law or the platform requires it (for example in the EU and India), and keep any labels or metadata it came with. Text you have reviewed and edited yourself usually needs no label.
What you can’t use AI for
Anything the Acceptable Use Policy forbids, including deceptive deepfakes, impersonation, or content that harms children. Don’t enter other people’s sensitive personal data into AI features.
Our AI providers
We use leading AI model providers under terms that forbid training on your data. We may change providers to keep quality and safety high; the current providers are listed among our service providers.
