Write a different caption for each platform
Write one main caption, then open a platform’s tab to change it just there. Other platforms keep the main one.

Steps
- Write the main caption in New post with the Everywhere tab selected.
- Tap a platform’s tab, for example X. It starts with your main caption.
- Edit it. The tab gets a dot (•) to show it has its own version.
- To go back to the main caption, tap Use the main caption.
What you’ll see
On a wide screen, the preview on the right shows the caption of the tab you’re on. After scheduling, each platform’s own caption shows on the post page under its name.
The counters
Under the caption, a counter per platform shows characters used and the limit, for example IG 120/2,200 and X 120/280. It turns red when you’re over.
After scheduling
Open the post and tap Edit next to a platform to change only that platform’s caption.
