Approve posts before they go out

Before you start

• Approvals come with Creator, Studio and the free trial.
• You’re the owner or an admin to turn approvals on; owners, admins and managers approve.

Steps

1. Go to You → Team & roles and turn on Approve before posting (“Posts by editors and contributors wait for a manager”).
2. Editors and contributors now see Send for approval instead of Schedule, and “A manager reviews this before it goes out.”
3. Managers get “A post needs your approval” in Activity. On Home, under Needs approval, tap Approve; or open the post to read it first.
4. On the post, tap Approve to schedule it as planned, or Request changes to send it back.

What you’ll see

The person who wrote it hears “Your post was approved” (or that changes were requested). While it waits, they see With your manager and the post shows Needs approval.

If someone who needs approval edits an approved post, it goes back for approval, so what goes out is always what was approved.
