Notifications and alerts on your phone

The bell shows what went live and what needs you. Turn on alerts to hear about it on your phone or computer, even with Octoque closed.

Updated

Steps

  1. Tap the bell at the top (next to Search on a phone, next to the logo on a computer) to see your latest notifications. Tap one to open it.
  2. To get alerts on this device, tap Turn on in the bell, or go to You → Notifications → Alerts on this device, and allow notifications when your browser asks.
  3. Tap Send a test to check it works.

What you’ll see

When a post goes live, fails, needs approval, or an account needs signing in again, you get an alert. Tapping it opens that post in Octoque.

On iPhone and iPad

Apple only allows alerts for web apps on the Home Screen. In Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, open Octoque from its new icon, and turn alerts on there.

What you hear about

Under You → Notifications you choose: posts going live, things that need you, approvals, weekly results and tips. Quiet hours hold the gentle ones (a post went live, plan news) between 22:00 and 08:00 your time; anything that needs you still comes through.

Turning alerts off

Switch Alerts on this device off, or turn off any other device in the list under it. Logging out of a browser turns its alerts off too.

Troubleshooting

  • Alerts are blocked for Octoque in this browser.

You said no when the browser asked. Open the site settings for octoque.com in your browser (the icon left of the address), allow Notifications, then turn alerts on again.

  • Your browser couldn’t reach its alert service. Check your connection and try again.

Your browser couldn't reach its alert service in time. Check your connection; on a work computer, the network may block it.
