Connect your YouTube channel
Sign in with the Google account that owns the channel. If the channel is on a Brand Account, pick that Brand Account in Google’s chooser.
Updated
Before you start
- A YouTube channel.
- Access to the Google account that owns it. If the channel lives on a Brand Account, you need to be its owner or manager.
- Access given only inside YouTube Studio (channel permissions) isn’t enough: Google says those people “can’t manage via YouTube APIs”. The owner has to connect it.
Steps
- In Octoque, go to You → Connected accounts.
- Tap Connect next to YouTube (or Add another if one is already connected).
- Google shows its account chooser. Pick the entry that owns the channel: your own name for a personal channel, or the Brand Account’s name for a channel on a Brand Account.
- Allow Octoque to upload and manage videos on that channel.
- You’re back in Octoque with a note such as “@yourname connected”, and the account shows Connected.
