Best SocialBee alternatives in 2026

SocialBee is built around category queues that recycle evergreen posts. If you post new videos instead, want a free plan or need an API, here are eight alternatives with dated prices.

By Kumar Gaurav, founder of OctoqueUpdated Facts checked

The short answer

If recycling is why you chose SocialBee, Publer (on Business) and Octoque also re-post evergreen content. If you post fresh short video, Octoque times each platform separately and includes an API. If you want a free plan, Buffer, Metricool and Zoho Social have one. If you need approvals, SocialBee starts them at $49; Planable Basic ($39 per workspace) includes optional approvals and unlimited users.

Why people look for a SocialBee alternative

These come up most in SocialBee’s own documentation and in recent public reviews. Each links to where we saw it.

  1. Refunds cover only the first purchase within 30 days; renewals are excluded, and one reviewer says no reminder comes before renewal. (SocialBee refund policy)
  2. TikTok auto-posting: SocialBee’s own known-issue page (4 September 2026) says some scheduled TikToks fail to post. (SocialBee help: known issue)
  3. Reliability and downtime come up in recent Trustpilot reviews (SocialBee’s score there is 3.6 from 58 reviews). (Trustpilot reviews of SocialBee)
  4. No public API, which rules it out if you want to schedule from scripts or AI assistants. (SocialBee help: API)
“Frequent hiccups and downtimes disrupt basic operations”
Trustpilot reviewer, May 2026, Trustpilot

SocialBee also does things well, and it may still be the right tool for you: category-based queues that recycle evergreen posts, with RSS sources, and best-time scheduling on every plan; an engagement inbox for comments, mentions and DMs across six networks.

The alternatives

Octoque (made by us)

Best for: Creators who post one short video to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X and more, each at that platform’s own hour.

Price
Free: reminders only, you post (3 accounts, 10 posts a month); Starter $15 a month for 3 accounts, posting for you; Creator $29 for 8. Pricing
Why pick it
  • Golden hour on every plan: each platform at its own time, in your audience’s time zone.
  • Accounts included in the plan, not billed one by one; approvals from Creator.
  • 14-day trial with no card that posts for you (3 accounts, 30 posts), and a full refund within 14 days of any payment, renewals included.
  • API and MCP server on every paid plan.
Watch out for
New, with no third-party reviews yet. Lighter listening than Brandwatch-class tools (Mentions, on Studio: no web, news or forums); boosts live posts but has no full ads manager; no X comments or DMs in the inbox, and no routing or assignment for teams. The Free plan doesn’t post for you, and there’s no native phone app.

Compared with SocialBee: Octoque has a free plan for planning (it reminds you to post), a public API and MCP server on every paid plan, and refunds any payment within 14 days (SocialBee refunds the first purchase within 30 days). SocialBee’s recycling is built on content categories and RSS sources, and it reaches WhatsApp and Telegram through phone reminders. Both have an evergreen queue and an inbox. See the full table.

How to choose

  • You recycle evergreen posts: SocialBee if you sort them into categories; Publer Business and Octoque also re-post evergreen content.
  • You post new short video every day: pick a tool that auto-publishes Reels, TikTok and Shorts reliably and tells you when one fails. Check each tool’s video row in our table.
  • You want to automate with scripts or AI: SocialBee has no public API. Buffer, Octoque and SocialPilot (MCP) do.
  • You manage clients: Sendible, SocialPilot and Vista Social are built for agencies.
How we compared

We read each tool’s own pricing page, help centre and terms on 14 October 2026, and linked every price and drawback to its source. Reasons for leaving come from SocialBee’s own documentation and recent public reviews, which skew negative by nature. We did not run a long hands-on test of each tool, so this compares published plans and documentation, not day-to-day reliability. We picked tools that solve the problems above, not every scheduler on the market. Corrections to hello@octoque.com.

Questions people ask

Which SocialBee alternative recycles posts?

Publer recycles posts on its Business plan. Octoque has an evergreen queue: you set a minimum gap and how many times a post repeats, and it can fill empty slots with a fresh first line. SocialBee’s category queues and RSS sources go further.

Is there a free SocialBee alternative?

Yes: Buffer, Metricool, Publer and Zoho Social have free plans that post for you. Octoque’s Free plan plans and reminds you, and you post yourself. SocialBee has a 14-day trial only.

Does SocialBee have an API?

No. Its help centre says there’s no public API; it offers Zapier, Make and webhooks instead.

Is SocialBee’s TikTok posting reliable?

SocialBee’s own known-issue page, posted 4 September 2026, says some scheduled TikToks fail to auto-post. Check its status before relying on it for TikTok.
