Best Loomly alternatives in 2026

Loomly’s new Starter plan is $65 a month, the next step is $332, and X isn’t among its networks. If the new prices or the missing X are why you’re looking, here are eight alternatives.

By Kumar Gaurav, founder of OctoqueUpdated Facts checked

The short answer

Loomly Starter is actually a full plan: 12 accounts, 3 users, approvals, inbox and analytics. Like for like, SocialPilot Standard ($50, 15 accounts, 3 users) and Vista Social ($99, 15 profiles) are the closest. If you mainly publish, Octoque Creator is $29 for 8 accounts and 2 seats, with X and approvals. If approvals are the core of your work, Planable has unlimited users per workspace.

Why people look for a Loomly alternative

These come up most in Loomly’s own documentation and in recent public reviews. Each links to where we saw it.

  1. Price changes: Loomly moved customers to new plans at renewal and says it can’t revert accounts to old plans. (Loomly help: plans and pricing update)
  2. A big jump between plans: past 3 users or 12 accounts, the next plan is $332 a month billed monthly. (Loomly pricing)
  3. X isn’t among its supported networks. (Loomly integrations)
  4. Recent Trustpilot reviews complain about the price rises (Loomly’s score there is 3.8 from 109 reviews). (Trustpilot reviews of Loomly)
“Loomly is raising their prices 315%”
Trustpilot reviewer, May 2026, Trustpilot

Loomly also does things well, and it may still be the right tool for you: approvals, an inbox with saved replies and assignment, and analytics, all on the entry plan; a generous refund window: 20 days on monthly plans, 60 on yearly.

The alternatives

Octoque (made by us)

Best for: Creators who post one short video to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X and more, each at that platform’s own hour.

Price
Free: reminders only, you post (3 accounts, 10 posts a month); Starter $15 a month for 3 accounts, posting for you; Creator $29 for 8. Pricing
Why pick it
  • Golden hour on every plan: each platform at its own time, in your audience’s time zone.
  • Accounts included in the plan, not billed one by one; approvals from Creator.
  • 14-day trial with no card that posts for you (3 accounts, 30 posts), and a full refund within 14 days of any payment, renewals included.
  • API and MCP server on every paid plan.
Watch out for
New, with no third-party reviews yet. Lighter listening than Brandwatch-class tools (Mentions, on Studio: no web, news or forums); boosts live posts but has no full ads manager; no X comments or DMs in the inbox, and no routing or assignment for teams. The Free plan doesn’t post for you, and there’s no native phone app.

Compared with Loomly: Octoque posts to X on paid plans, includes golden hour on every plan, and costs less for one or two people ($29 for 8 accounts and 2 seats, approvals included). Loomly’s Starter includes approvals, an inbox and listening for 3 users, and its refund window (20 days monthly, 60 yearly) is longer than Octoque’s 14 days. See Octoque for teams.

How to choose

  • You need X: Loomly doesn’t list it. SocialPilot, Buffer, Sendible and Octoque post to X.
  • You outgrew 3 users: Buffer Team, Planable and Sendible have unlimited users; Octoque Studio has 5.
  • You use the inbox daily: Agorapulse or Vista Social go further than Loomly’s inbox.
  • You’re a solo creator: $65 is a lot for one person. Octoque Starter ($15) or Buffer ($6 per channel) cost far less.
How we compared

We read each tool’s own pricing page, help centre and terms on 14 October 2026, and linked every price and drawback to its source. Reasons for leaving come from Loomly’s own documentation and recent public reviews, which skew negative by nature. We did not run a long hands-on test of each tool, so this compares published plans and documentation, not day-to-day reliability. We picked tools that solve the problems above, not every scheduler on the market. Corrections to hello@octoque.com.

Questions people ask

Why did Loomly’s price change?

Loomly restructured its plans and moves customers to the new ones at renewal; its help centre says it can’t revert accounts to old plans. Starter is now $65 a month ($49 paid yearly).

Does Loomly post to X?

X isn’t on Loomly’s integrations page. Octoque, Buffer, SocialPilot and Sendible post to X.

Does Loomly have a free plan?

Its help centre describes a Free plan (3 accounts, 5 posts a month) that may not be available to everyone. Buffer, Metricool and Zoho Social have free plans that post for you on their pricing pages. Octoque’s Free plan reminds you to post rather than posting.

Can I get a refund from Loomly?

Yes: within 20 days of a monthly payment or 60 days of a yearly one, from a self-serve page. That’s longer than most tools here.
