Best Agorapulse alternatives in 2026

Agorapulse has one of the best inboxes around, but each user is a seat from $99 a month, best times need its $199 plan, and the old free plan ended in July 2026. Here are eight alternatives.

By Kumar Gaurav, founder of OctoqueUpdated Facts checked

The short answer

If the inbox is why you use Agorapulse, the closest alternatives are suites: Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Vista Social (priced per plan) or Zoho Social Premium ($65 a month with 3 members). If you mostly publish, a scheduler costs less: Octoque Creator is $29 a month for 2 seats with approvals (Studio, $99, has 5); SocialPilot Standard is $50 for 3 users.

Why people look for a Agorapulse alternative

These come up most in Agorapulse’s own documentation and in recent public reviews. Each links to where we saw it.

  1. Per-user pricing: every teammate is another seat, from $99 a month billed monthly. (Agorapulse pricing)
  2. The free plan ended on 6 July 2026; its replacement only creates posts through the AI assistant. (Agorapulse help: free plan)
  3. Recommended times and bulk scheduling need Advanced; the open API needs Custom; X is a quote-only add-on. (Agorapulse pricing)
  4. No refunds on monthly plans or first purchases (Agorapulse’s Trustpilot score is 4.0 from 57 reviews). (Agorapulse refund policy)
“It’s so unreliable.”

Agorapulse also does things well, and it may still be the right tool for you: a full inbox: comment moderation, Google review replies, assignment and automated rules; rOI reporting tied to Google Analytics, plus ads and competitor reports on Advanced.

The alternatives

Octoque (made by us)

Best for: Creators who post one short video to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X and more, each at that platform’s own hour.

Price
Free: reminders only, you post (3 accounts, 10 posts a month); Starter $15 a month for 3 accounts, posting for you; Creator $29 for 8. Pricing
Why pick it
  • Golden hour on every plan: each platform at its own time, in your audience’s time zone.
  • Accounts included in the plan, not billed one by one; approvals from Creator.
  • 14-day trial with no card that posts for you (3 accounts, 30 posts), and a full refund within 14 days of any payment, renewals included.
  • API and MCP server on every paid plan.
Watch out for
New, with no third-party reviews yet. Lighter listening than Brandwatch-class tools (Mentions, on Studio: no web, news or forums); boosts live posts but has no full ads manager; no X comments or DMs in the inbox, and no routing or assignment for teams. The Free plan doesn’t post for you, and there’s no native phone app.

Compared with Agorapulse: Octoque’s inbox is simpler (comments, DMs and Google review replies, without assignment or automated rules), and it has no ROI reports. Agorapulse does both very well. For publishing, Octoque’s approvals start on Creator ($29 for 2 seats), and Studio includes 5 seats, 25 accounts, approvals and golden hour for $99 a month in total; at Agorapulse, recommended times need Advanced at $199 per user. How to choose

  • Moderation and review replies are daily work: stay with a suite: Agorapulse, Vista Social, Sprout Social or Zoho Social Premium.
  • You pay for several seats: per-plan tools can save a lot: Octoque Studio, SocialPilot, Sendible or Vista Social.
  • You used the old free plan: Buffer, Metricool and Zoho Social still have free plans that post for you. Octoque’s Free plan only reminds you to post; its 14-day trial posts for you.
  • You post to X: Agorapulse sells X access as a quote-only add-on; Octoque, Buffer and SocialPilot include X.
How we compared

We read each tool’s own pricing page, help centre and terms on 14 October 2026, and linked every price and drawback to its source. Reasons for leaving come from Agorapulse’s own documentation and recent public reviews, which skew negative by nature. We did not run a long hands-on test of each tool, so this compares published plans and documentation, not day-to-day reliability. We picked tools that solve the problems above, not every scheduler on the market. Corrections to hello@octoque.com.
